Being mentally resilient is more than being strong or flexible. It’s being equipped
to withstand ANYTHING that might come your way at any point in life.
How is that even possible? In short, by understanding life’s fundamentals and understanding yourself through and through. That allows you to respond to life situations (reflective approach) instead of reacting emotionally (reflexive approach). It’s simple, yet not easy. And it’s available to anybody.

It is a learnable skill that empowers people to embrace and enjoy life, instead of being afraid of the unknown. It also functions as a tool that once acquired is yours forever.
Hiding from the unpleasant and painful is not sustainable. Unpleasant and unexpected experiences are lurking behind every other corner in life since that’s the fastest and most efficient way for us to learn and grow. Life happens for our benefit – with everything that comes with it. We want it to be only the positive and happy things. It is possible only partially – by adjusting our perspective. Once we see every situation being in some way good of us, it becomes positive. It’s not fooling oneself – it’s a choice of the most beneficial perspective for one to take as much value of life as possible.
why now
Because
many of us feel scared.
Scared of all sorts of things, not just the global
uncertainty and possibility of war, but also many aspects of personal life.
We
need fear, just like any other feeling and emotion, yet when it is not managed,
it can be paralyzing and can make us receptive to manipulation, which is
affecting us unnoticeably with trivializing
news
and populist views spreading like wildfire.
In a society of grounded, emotionally intelligent and mentally resilient people such spread would not be possible. Catching and stopping it depends on how stable we all are individually. Building own mental resilience is the most efficient shortcut.

MORE ABOUT Me
I have been practicing mental resilience my entire life, although this phrase was not in my vocabulary until recently. Regular mental resilience exercises have brought me a life that seems easy, joyful, peaceful and successful. And that’s what it feels like, too. I’m still learning, since there are so many layers and levels of it. But the things I already know help me remain cool, grounded and rational when facing any unpleasant, unexpected experience. And I see that this works for everyone.
Building on my 20+ years’ experience as a translator and copywriter, I got an education in Communication Science focusing on emotional intelligence. I mostly work as an individual agent, but recently I have also built my strength along powerful organisations – in private sector at IKEA and in public sector at the Nordic Council of Ministers’ unit in Latvia.Should you come along with me?
